In compliance with federal statutes, William Henry requests that you carefully read the requirements set forth below and sign this acknowledgement form prior to purchasing any automatic-opening knife from our company.
By placing an order or requesting services such as warranty or repair for any automatic-opening knife from William Henry, you affirm that you meet one or more of the following criteria established by federal law:
Federal law prohibits the shipment of automatic knives across state lines, with the following exceptions:
- To civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officers, and to employees of the Federal Government who are ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with federal government activities.
- To active Armed Forces members or employees acting in the performance of their official duties.
- To supply or procurement officers of the National Guard, Air National Guard, or a state militia (of any State, Territory, or the District of Columbia) ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the organization’s activities.
- To supply or procurement officers or employees of a municipal government within the District of Columbia, or the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city, or other political subdivision thereof.
- To supply or procurement officers or employees of a municipal government within the District of Columbia, or the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city, or other political subdivision thereof.
William Henry will not sell automatic-opening knives to any customer unless the sale or receipt of product or service return complies with one or more of the above conditions.
I, the undersigned customer of William Henry, recognize and acknowledge that it is my responsibility as the buyer and/or owner to ascertain and obey all applicable laws (local, state, federal, and international) regarding the possession or purchase of any item from William Henry. I hereby represent and certify that my purchase of an automatic-opening knife from William Henry complies with one or more of the criteria outlined above, and I agree to use these knives only in connection with the duties described in sections 1 through 5.
Important:
If your Automatic Knife Opening Acknowledgement (AKOA) form is expired or has not been completed, William Henry will not sell or ship any automatic-opening knives, nor will we process any product or service return, unless it complies with the terms of this form.
In compliance with state statutes, William Henry will not ship automatic knives to New Mexico, Maryland, or Delaware
